CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Roshan Gharana Program 2024

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, launched this “Roshan Gharana Program” in an attempt to relieve the burden of electricity bills on poor people. However, this initiative will also reduce the load from the power plants.

The main goal of this program is to provide 50,000 solar systems of 1 kilowatt to people who are consuming 100 units per month or less. The types of equipment included in this program are solar plates, inverters, batteries, and other essential appliances. Because the panel prices, inverter and battery prices (AGS and Osaka) are high it will reduce the burden from the users.

During her scheduled meeting on the Roshan Gharana solar scheme, she ordered the authorities to quickly take steps and start working on its finalization. According to the report, advanced technologies will be used in this scheme. Users can use the solar calculator to get an idea of the usage of units per month

This Roshan Gharana Solar program is divided into different phases to keep track of its success and bring better improvements.

Phase 1

In phase 1, the solar system will be provided to consumers with an average usage of 100 units per month. The solar will be given through the process of balloting. For this purpose, a budget of 12.6 billion rupees is allocated.

Phase 2

In the second phase, consumers with 100 to 300 units of usage will get a chance to avail themselves of the solar system. Further details and budget are not decided yet. It will mainly depend on the success of Phase 1.

Registration for the solar scheme will start in May. The candidates can apply through the online websites. The registration process is easy and requires only a few basic pieces of information and documents. The team is organizing the best ways to have a clear balloting process.

If we talk about the payment process, then the candidate has to make a modest payment of 25%, while the other will be arranged by the government.

A consumer who is a resident of Punjab and has a valid ID card can apply for this scheme. Moreover, another main thing is that he should use less electricity; on average, he uses 100 units per month or less. 

The government. has set a few criteria to ensure the right people get maximum benefits from the scheme and to avoid any confusion. These eligibility criteria are:

• You should have a valid Punjab ID card
• Mobile number registered with your ID card
• The house meter should be registered with your ID card, whether you are an owner or a renter

It is one of the best initiatives of the Punjab government to increase the smart use of energy resources. This step will help promote sustainable living and reduce dependence on customary resources. All the needy people will benefit from this scheme in the first phase.

However, in the second phase, ways are being created to benefit other people as well. With the use of solar energy, there will be less pollution as well.
